Report Proposal
This formal proposal, prepared for the National Passenger Rail Corporation (Amtrak), makes the case for an accelerated-speed passenger rail route on the west coast corridor between the San Francisco and Los Angeles and the overall viability of competitive rail travel in the United States. The report makes extensive use of data from Amtrak and Department of Transportation and numerous international environmental impact surveys, presented in a variety of tables and infographics. Includes cover letter to Amtrak CEO Joseph Boardman.

Documentation Plan Usability Test
Standard Operating Procedure
SOP for a (fictional) San Francisco restaurant, covering safe selection, storage of handling of seafood and maintenance of the food prep area. Based on a pre-existing template, the SOP incorporates numerous studies from the FDA and other relevant regulatory bodies, and is intended for restaurant managers, trainers and staff to teach how to identify food-borne hazards prepare food safely and be in compliance with federal and local health codes.

Feasibility Study
A feasibility study prepared for the president of a Nursing Care facility manager looking to address high staff turnover due to childcare issues. The paper focuses on four potential solutions to provide for employee childcare, either directly or indirectly, comparing the benefits and costs of each approach.
Executive Summary
This Executive Summary is based on an actual white paper from Lionbridge, analyzing the costs and benefits of its automated vs. traditional translation services.
News Release
Three page news release announcing the launch of a series of commercial driving simulators. After researching the technology and its real world applications, I invented the company and a realistic scenario for the launch, allowing personal endorsements from (fictional) representatives and clients to sell the system’s benefits and features.
Use Case and Process Description
Process description outlining a detailed workflow for ingest, formatting, and management of media files throughout the production process. Also included are two use cases for the scenario of the process description. The first use case describes an ideal scenario, the second an alternative but likely case. Each covers the actors, pre- and post- conditions and expected workflow in each scenario.

Comprehensive review of a white paper entitled ‘Open Source Software as Solution in State Funded Community Colleges‘. Includes detailed suggestions for improving the paper’s overall structure, organization, headings and rhetorical approach. I have also provided a suggestion outline and style sheet, as well as an excerpt of the text that I’ve rewritten to incorporate my suggested edits.

Aspiration Technology is a San Francisco non-profit empowering individuals and organizations working for social, racial, and environmental justice with high-tech tools, education, and strategies.
My team developed this multimedia package in collaboration with Aspiration promoting Aspiration Fest, a youth focused technology festival, including a step-by-step process for facilitators for producing like events.

Baykids.org is a non-profit that teaches filmmaking skills to children and families facing serious medical challenges, allowing them to tell their stories to the world through video.
In addition to helping create and edit video, I created these two posters and a promotional page introducing the organization and its mission.

Recruitment brochure for (fictional) biotech company, CalHelix, targeting recent grads, especially young women and marginalized applicants. The copy heavily features female scientists endorsing the company’s progressive and diversity-supportive work environment.
I also created the CalHelix logo and branding.
